(Moorhead, MN) -- A republican candidate for Minnesota state senate district 4 says his campaign continues, even though he did not receive official party endorsement.
"What we are doing is growing the movement within Clay County as an example for the rest of the state to follow and what we are doing is we are bringing that power of the political party back into the people's hands," said Edwin Hahn.
Hahn continues to claim the title of Chairman of the Clay County Republican Party, even though the executive board reports voting him out of the position in mid-March. Hahn says the state republican party has acted illegally and unconstitutionally against him and other party members at the county level. The state party has not yet responded to our request for comment. District 4 republicans have officially endorsed Dan Bohmer for the state senate seat. The primary election takes place August 9th.
