(Fargo, ND) -- Officials say severe thunderstorms and high winds are to blame for the closure of a downtown street.

Multiple Fargo agencies, including the city's Streets Department say 5th St. N between 2nd and 3rd Avenues North is closed to both pedestrians and vehicle traffic. Officials say a panel on the exterior of the Radisson Hotel became loose and fell during the severe storm. Officials say high winds may cause more panels to become loose and fall.

The closure is expected to be in place for multiple days to secure panels on the Hotel. In the meantime, the U.S Bank Parking ramp is closed until further notice. Individuals can still access the Radisson Hotel through their south entrance.
