(Buffalo, ND) -- One man has died after a vehicle fire Sunday morning off I-94.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office says they, along with six other agencies were called to the eastbound lane of the highway near mile marker 313 around 9 a.m. for reports of a car on fire.
When authorities arrived, they were able to pull the man from the burning car, and began attempting life saving measures. They were unsuccessful, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
I-94 near Tower City was shut down briefly for Sanford AirMed, but reopened shortly after the incident.
It is unclear at this time what caused the car to catch fire, and officials continue to investigate the incident. Stick with WDAY Radio as we hope to provide updates when more information becomes available.
