(Fargo, ND) -- After a successful clinic Tuesday, round two of Sanford Health's Sports Blitz Clinics is set to take place Thursday.

"We have openings from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday," said Sanford Sports Medicine Specialist Dr. Jason Sharp while speaking about the clinics on WDAY Midday. "It's kind of a general checkup where you are checking on all the things you need in order to participate in the upcoming sports year without any issues."

Dr. Sharp says while normal primary care and pediatric visits are also very important, this clinic can help make sure any otherwise un-detected issues are all taken care of so you or your athlete can be good to go for the upcoming Fall sports season.

The clinic takes place at the South University Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Clinic on Thursday, July 14th from 3:30-6:30 p.m. All college-aged athletes and younger are invited to attend. If athletes need updates on vaccinations too, that can also be done at this clinic.

Parental permission is needed for anyone under the age of 18. There is a $50 prepay cost for the sports physical, and immunizations will go through insurance. No appointments are needed, however if you want to schedule a sports physical on a different day, you're asked to call (701) 417-6000.
