Cass County Sheriff to host active shooter training in Kindred, Tower City

(Cass County, ND) -- The Cass County Sheriff’s Office, along with Kindred Public Schools will be conducting an active shooter/active threat training scenario at the school Monday evening.

The training will take place at the High School from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. During this time, Kindred residents can expect to see an increased presence of law enforcement, fire, and EMS vehicles and personnel. 

Then, on Tuesday, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, along with Maple Valley Public Schools in Tower City, will be conducting similar active shooter/active threat training scenario at their high school from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. as well. During this time, Tower City residents can expect to see the same increase in activity as Kindred residents Monday night.

The training is part of Sheriff Jesse Jahner's push to keep school districts and communities safe in the wake of more active shooter situations popping up across the country.
