Immigration reform cited at chamber event as one key for workforce development

(Fargo, ND) -- Workforce development was the topic at an event hosted Monday by the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce.

"The fact that it's the largest issue facing our region is definitely right on. But we are not alone. It's facing every region," said chamber President and CEO Shannon Full.  

Full says solving the work shortage in the FM metro will require an ongoing commitment of resources along with community collaboration. The key note speaker at NDSU was Ted Abernathy, the Managing Partner of Economic Leadership LLC, who is helping local leaders address workforce shortages. He said part of the solution involves needed immigration reform.
