(Fargo, ND) -- Tuesday's Fargo School Board meeting is set to be a big meeting when it comes to the financials involving the school district.

Along with an attempt to finalize the budget for the upcoming school year, board members are set to vote on a proposal to bring on two new behavioral health workers to the district.

The board is expected to approve two bids from Stepping Stones Group LLC to supply two new staff members to cover the roles of Behavioral Analyst and Behavioral Technician. By approving this bid, instead of AMN Allied Services proposal, the district would save a combined over $24,000 in salary payments. The Behavioral analyst role would pay $96,000..while the Technician would receive $57,000 annually in this proposal. The hiring of a new special education teacher through Stepping Stones is also expected to be approved.

In the meantime, the board is also set to consider altering the pay periods for ESSER bonuses for staff sticking with the school district.

Board members are expected to restructure the bonuses at Tuesday's meeting to give two $750 bonus checks to certified staff and teachers, hourly support staff and administrators. Substitutes, coaches and other non-permanent staff are not eligible for the bonuses.

Initial plans called for district staff to get three payments instead of two. Under this change they would get the checks in December and May.
