(Fargo, ND) -- A longtime Realtor, who is also involved in several organizations and boards, is now running for Clay County Commissioner.
"Clay County in itself is the fastest growing county outside of the metro. So with that we are going to be, as a growing community, that is a wonderful thing right, we are going to create a lot of new business, and other things, we are a welcoming community. But with that there are going to be some challenges," said Paul Krabbenhoft.
Krabbenhoft is a life-long Clay County resident. For the past 37 years he has served on the Clay Soil and Water Conservation District Board. Krabbenhoft says with projected growth, workforce retention for the county will be a top priority.
Krabbenhoft says if elected he would be committed to maintaining fiscal responsibility while managing the county's business.
Three seats on the Clay County Commission will be up for grabs in the November 8th election, with only one being a contested race.
