Fargo Police arrest suspect wanted in murder of Santino Marial 

(Fargo, ND) -- Fargo Police say 29-year-old Jesse James Burnett was arrested in south Fargo Friday morning. Burnett was arrested during the execution of a high-risk search warrant at a residence in the 1900 block of 53rd Avenue South just before 10:00 a.m. The Red River Valley SWAT Team teamed up with Fargo Police officers to make the arrest. 

Burnett was arrested for his suspected involvement in the drive-by shooting death of 41-year-old Santino Manjadit Makur Marial the night of August 28th 2020 in Fargo. Burnett is being held in the Cass County Jail on the charges of Intentional Murder, Aggravated Assault and Reckless Endangerment.

A representative for the Fargo Police Department says additional details on the case will be provided during a future "follow up news conference".
