Former Minneapolis officer pleads guilty to aiding, abetting in George Floyd's death

(Minneapolis, MN)  --  A former Minneapolis police officer is pleading guilty to charges related to the death of George Floyd.  J. Alexander Kueng pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting manslaughter. Jury selection was set to begin for him and his co-defendant, former officer Tou Thao, prior to Kueng's plea. Kueng and former officer Thomas Lane helped Derek Chauvin hold down a handcuffed Floyd, and Thao held off bystanders.  In exchange for the guilty plea, Kueng's charge of aiding and abetting second-degree murder is being dropped.  He's expected to be sentenced to three-and-a-half-years in prison.
