(Fargo, ND) -- A restaurant owner on Center Avenue in Moorhead talks about the challenges and lost revenue over the past few months when the street was closed for improvements.
"It's difficult for the customer to come here and they cannot find a way to come and also the business was a bit slow," said Name Osa.
Osa and her family own Thai Orchid, which she says almost closed for good because of lost business during the street closure. Center Avenue was recently re-opened after the paving work and other upgrades. Osa says a recent post they made to Facebook asking people to come and support the restaurant was shared 600 times and resulted in a surge of customers.
"It's better since the post on Facebook and (the) customers come to support me," said Osa.
Osa says they lost one server during the downturn but they're hoping that better days are ahead with the street now open.
