West Fargo garage sustains heavy smoke damage following noon blaze

(West Fargo, ND) -- Firefighters responded to reports of an active blaze that started accidentally during mechanical work.

West Fargo Firefighters were dispatched to 500 1st Ave NW around 12:30 on Tuesday. Authorities say heavy black smoke was visible from the garage, which was quickly contained. No injuries or damage to nearby buildings were reported. 

An initial investigation determined the fire was started due to an accident during motorcycle mechanical work.
