(Moorhead, MN) -- A play area meant for young kids is looking to open its doors by January's end in Moorhead.

Aaron Duma is a co-owner, founder, and operator of KidCo Children's Museum. The museum is intended for everyone up to eight years old and their parents to play in; including areas like a "tiny town" play area, magnetic science zone, a toy construction zone, a rock star stage, a puppet stage, a story area, art area, toddler area, and more.

"[We're] working hard, trying to get this thing open," said Duma, "We were shooting for the holidays [and its] not looking like we are going to make it. But we should be open by mid January of February [2023]."

Duma says they have seen an explosively positive response from the community through their social media page, which has gained over 2,200 followers in less than five days. He says this is because a service like this is currently not available in the F-M metro, but he wants to ensure everything is in working order before doors open.

"We're kinda gunna do some stress tests - figure it out," said Duma, "Anybody's who ever taken their kids to one of these things, it's just a great way to get the wiggles out, to get that energy out they need, to make new friends."

The KidCo Children's Museum will be located at 814 Center Avenue in Moorhead.
