(Fargo, ND) -- There is some good news in an update to the report of an emergency landing involving an Allegiant Air flight at Hector International Airport in Fargo Monday night.
Officials with the airline tell WDAY Radio that there was actually no emergency landing at all involving the plane.
"Yesterday, shortly after flight 676 departed Fargo, bound for Mesa, an indicator light in the cockpit came on," said Allegiant Spokesperson Sonya Padgett in a statement released to WDAY Radio. "Out of an abundance of caution, the captain made the decision to return to the airport to have the aircraft inspected. No emergency was declared."
Padgett says the flight then was cleared and departed again once the inspection was completed.
"We’re very sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused, but this decision was made with the safety of passengers and crew in mind," added Padgett, who noted for their inconvenience passengers were given vouchers for $50 off to be used for future travel.
The incident came just a few months after a separate international flight made an emergency landing at the airport.
