Three arrested in early morning pursuit in West Fargo

(West Fargo, ND) -- Three people are behind bars at the Cass County Jail after leading West Fargo Police on a chase Wednesday morning.

The Department tells WDAY Radio that at approximately 5:29 a.m. officers attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation near the 1200 block of 7th Avenue Northeast. The suspect vehicle had recently fled from another local agency.

After officers attempted to stop the vehicle, it fled south on Sheyenne Street engaging in a pursuit. The suspect vehicle became immobilized in a ditch in the 1500 block of 40th Avenue West. Two suspects were apprehended at the immobilized vehicle and an additional suspect fled on foot into a nearby field.

After a foot pursuit, the West Fargo Police Department apprehended the remaining suspect.

Authorities say 33-year-old Diona Lafontaine was arrested on multiple warrants, while 37-year-old Delano Minor was arrested for multiple warrants and fleeing and driving under suspension. Additionally, 28-year-old Leslielyn Stevens was also arrested for multiple warrants.

Additional charges are possible.
