(Fargo, ND) -- WDAY Radio is announcing today that a new show will be coming to AM 970 and FM 93.1 with the addition of “Talk of the Town” with Jon Adams.
The show will be hosted by Jon Adams, a local businessman and coach. It will air every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon, during “WDAY Midday.”
“I want this content to reflect the positive vibe that we have in Fargo and talk about issues that face all of us who live here in the Metro area. I also want to focus on the positives of the Minority community here,” says Adams. “Fargo to me is the last bastion of hometown life on a large scale. That’s what we love about living here. In Fargo, all things are possible for all people. I know because I’m proof of that.”
The addition of Adams to Midday's lineup comes as former Fargo City Commissioner Tony Gehrig continues to host 'Tuesdays with Tony' every Tuesday in the same time slot.
“Jon and I have been friends for many years, and our kids grew up playing sports together,” says Steve Hallstrom, President of Flag Family Media who manages and operates the station. “We want WDAY Radio to represent all voices in our community and Jon brings a perspective that will be a great addition to our lineup. Jon is a big personality while being a voice of common sense, and he isn’t afraid to make people uncomfortable on both sides of an issue. You may not always agree with him, but he will make you think, and that’s when radio is truly at its best.”
“I want the show to embrace the diverse nature of Fargo and the role of Minorities and immigrants,” says Adams. “At the same time, I want my audience to feel good about our community for who we are as a whole. We are hard-working, loyal, and most all, we love the fact that you’ve gotta be tough to be from North Dakota. I want my audience to pine for the olds, while embracing the future.”
The show will include topics such as embracing the trades in education, small business trends, life at the lakes, the F-M Diversion’s economic impact, Vikings and Bison football, and Fargo on a budget. The show debuts Wednesday, February 1st at 11 a.m.
