Moorhead-based Vanna Adventure Vans adding new production facility in West Fargo

(Fargo, ND) -- A booming Moorhead-based van customization company is now expanding to West Fargo. 

"We've found it's definitely a national market. We're designing vans for literally people from all four corners of the country, east coast, west coast. down south, Florida, Arizona, Nashville, New Jersey," said Ben Gleason, the Co-Founder and CEO of Vanna Adventure Vans, 

Gleason says his van customization company launched in 2020, and has since grown to 25 full-time employees and five interns, who are engineering majors from NDSU.
 
The company is now setting up a ten van assembly line in West Fargo. Gleason says Vanna should produce about 86 of their custom vans in 2023, and says there's a chance they'll hit 100. The company customizes both Ford Transit Hybrid Cargo vans and Mercedes Benz Hybrid Sprinters. 

"What we've done now is we've kind of standardized the options to what we know really, really works. There's still tons and tons of customization you can do, but we've standardized certain things like where the bed has to go, where the power system has to go," said Gleason.
