(Fargo, ND) -- Gate City Bank has announced donations totaling $125 thousand to 6 local charities as part of Giving Hearts Day.
"One of the favorite parts of my role is when I get to tell a charity that we're able to provide them with funding and make that donation. You can hear pure joy in their acceptance of a donation," said Amanda Torok, the bank's Senior Vice President of Culture.
Torok announced the recipients of the donations Thursday morning. The largest gift totaling $100 thousand went to Creative Care for Reaching Independence. Five other local charities each received $5 thousand. Torok says the donations from the bank is one way Gate City is celebrating its one hundredth anniversary.
"It's a big day for us to be a part of and we really look forward to this day every year to show our support for all the great charities in our community," said Torok.
