(Barnes County, ND) -- A North Dakota Department of Transportation snowplow was involved in a crash Monday morning in Barnes County.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol tells WDAY Radio the plow was traveling eastbound in the left shoulder and driving lane of I-94 near mile marker 274 when an 18-year-old Grand Forks man approached it from behind.

The man's Jeep swerved left towards the median, causing it to strike the rear driver side and left wing of the snowplow. The Jeep then entered the median and rolled.

The driver was transported by Valley City ambulance to be treated for minor injuries from the crash. The snowplow operator was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
