(West Fargo, ND) -- The West Fargo Public Schools District is considering a measure that city residents would need to approve in order to move forward.

The West Fargo Public School District Long Range Task Force is looking to place the option in front of voters in the city. If approved, the measure would use $98.5 million dollars for multiple different school expansions, the construction of a new elementary school, and the purchasing of land for future use. Levi Bauchmeier, The Business Manager for West Fargo Public Schools, says the cost hasn't been finalized at this point in time, so an exact number for each homeowner has yet to be determined.

"I don't know what the task force is ultimately going to decide [...] We haven't been really throwing numbers in terms of what that means for an individual homeowner because I don't want to put something out there until they have decided exactly what that looks like and what the board decides what they are comfortable with too, "said Bauchmeier on WDAY Radio's The Jay Thomas Show, who says the final total could exceed $100 million dollars.

Individual items that would be added to the final total need 80% approval from the Long Range Task Force in order to be included.
