Start-up LandTrust to open Fargo office in deal arranged by Shark Tank star Kevin O'Leary

(Fargo, ND) -- A North Dakota investment fund led by Shark Tank star Kevin O'Leary has announced its first investment in the tech start-up company LandTrust.

"Such a brilliant idea. I mean basically we know with certainly that shared platforms work in apartments and rentals and housing, Airbnbs all around the world but no one has solved this problem for land," said O'Leary.

O'Leary's firm is managing the newly created Wonder Fund North Dakota. O'Leary says LandTrust is an online land-sharing marketplace connecting landowners with outdoor enthusiasts, creating income for landowners and allowing access to private lands for recreational experiments. The start-up will receive a $1.25 million dollar investment from the Wonder Fund. The deal includes a commitment from LandTrust to establish an office in Fargo as the company expands in the Midwest.

O'Leary appeared on The Chris Berg Show on AM 1100 The Flag.
