(Fargo, ND) -- The Moorhead High School Career Academy hosted it's first ever career fair Friday and employers were lining up to meet the students.

"When I found out that 33 signed up and that's all we have the capacity for in that room, that sold out in four days and we were turning businesses away. That made me feel really good," said Moorhead Area Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Brandon Lunak.

Lunak welcomed recruiters and HR people from companies looking to connect with students. Also during the event, Lunak announced a new corporate partnership with Dakota Supply Group. The logistics and delivery company with operations in several states will provide career training for students preparing to work in manufacturing and transportation.

"When you work alongside folks in the private sector you get, you kind of get a little taste of what they go through and we get to learn the industry, our kids get the opportunities," said Lunak.

Companies participating in the career fair included RDO, Scheels, and Aldevron.
