(Fargo, ND) -- A new building for the Red River Regional Dispatch Center could be built on land next to Sanford Health in Fargo.
"We will need to start from scratch on many of these things because we are moving from 8 consoles to 14 consoles. We need to upgrade," said dispatch center Director Mary Phillippi.
Phillippi met with RRRDC Authority Board Members Thursday morning to discuss relocation plans. They're currently eying a parcel of land along Agassiz Crossing in Fargo. The funding for building the new dispatch center was intially set at $12.5 million dollars.
Board members discussed a lease agreement with Sanford for the new site. No word on when a deal might be finalized.
