(Moorhead, MN) -- The Moorhead Police Department has announced the identity of the man found dead in a city apartment last Thursday, March 9th.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's preliminary autopsy results show the victim, now identified as 29-year-old Dustin Glenn Momerak, had "multiple sharp and blunt force injuries" consistent with that of a knife.

The suspect in the homicide, 25-year-old Douglas Swenson II, was Momerak's half-brother, and that two had been living together at the time in the apartment complex off 12th street south in Moorhead.

Moorhead Police does tell WDAY Radio that the investigation is still active; however, there is still no information leading to believe there is any threat to the public, no further suspects are being sought, and an item believed to be used in the homicide was located on the scene.

Swenson is still being held in the Clay County Jail and formal charges are pending.
