Kindred apartment fire contained to single unit, cause to be determined

(Kindred, ND) -- No person is injured and a cat is safe following a fire in Kindred, North Dakota

The Cass County Sheriff's Office says multiple rural fire departments and other first responders were called to the residential structure fire. The fire was contained to a single unit within an apartment complex, located in the 100 block of Viking Circle, with other units seeing smoke and water damage. Authorities say there were no injuries to first responders and residents, but one cat was rescued from the scene. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time.
