Teen experiencing mental health crisis safely pulled from Fargo bridge over I-29

(Fargo, ND) -- A teen is now in the hospital following a mental health emergency over I-29 in Fargo.

The Fargo Police Department and several other responding authorities briefly shut down I-29 near 32nd Ave S in Fargo when they learned a teen was experiencing a mental health crisis over the highway. Authorities were able to convince the teen to go to a nearby health care facility after a brief encounter on the roadway.

The Fargo Police Department and the North Dakota Highway Patrol closed the road during the mental health crisis, while the Fargo Fire Department and Sanford Ambulance were on standby.
