(West Fargo, ND) — The West Fargo Fire Department released the 2022 Annual Report earlier this week.
The report details several critical statistics that are used for everything from decisions made within the department, the city council, and for insurance info. One of the biggest pieces of data collected is the number of calls for service, which grew from 2,539 in 2021 to 2,842 in 2022. For comparison, the number of service calls the department received in 2016 was 369 for the full year. However, there does seem to be some positive news for the community as West Fargo regarding the number of calls in 2023.
“This year we are actually trending down, “said Dan Fuller, West Fargo Fire Chief, “Knock on wood, I hope it keeps…”
Speaking with WDAY Radio, Chief Fuller says the new headquarters is showing significant progress with its construction. Workers are now installing sheetrock and electrical wiring within the building, and Chief Fuller expects the building to be completed approximately 90 days from now if the current pace continues without interruption.
