(West Fargo, ND) — A West Fargo sanitation worker is being recognized after they helped a person in distress.
City Officials say Ben Markey was driving a sanitation vehicle when they saw an elderly person fall in their driveway on a sub-freezing day. Markey stopped his vehicle and helped the person back into their home, but also made sure their garbage bins were returned to the home. The city says Markey’s actions likely prevented a serious situation from occurring, and are thanking him for his quick thinking.
