(Fargo, ND) — A suspect is in custody following an hour-long pursuit that began in Grand Forks and ended in Fargo Saturday morning.
According to police, the chase began when 20-year-old Ahmed Hassan reportedly fled from Grand Forks police in his car, and then allegedly committed a carjacking before fleeing south out of town on I-29. The pursuit continued southward past Thompson, with speeds reaching up to 120 miles-an-hour as Hassan reportedly dodged spike strips on the interstate. He eventually ran over a spike strip near the milepost 66 exit ramp in Fargo, disabling the vehicle.
Hassan was arrested on suspicion of multiple crimes.
