Memory Cafe Executive Director Maggie Ness on WDAY Radio’s Bonnie and Friends
FARGO, N.D. — Memory Cafe, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families navigating cognitive changes, is expanding its facilities and hosting a community car show.
Maggie Ness, Executive Director of Memory Cafe, discussed the organization’s current growth during an appearance on the Bonnie and Friends radio show. Located at 3910 25th St. S. in Fargo, the facility is under construction to expand its space to the south.
The expansion includes:

Facility Addition: Adding approximately 4,400 square feet to the main community room to better accommodate larger gatherings, exercise classes, educational seminars, and musical performances.

Outdoor Space: Constructing a patio and a dementia-friendly, 1/10th-mile walking path featuring raised garden beds, a water feature, picnic tables, and seating.
Memory Cafe serves around 400 members on its roster and welcomes approximately 150 participants weekly across various programs, including caregiver support groups, exercise classes, and early-stage programming. The expansion follows a prior renovation completed a few months ago, driven by the rapid growth of their programs after operating across seven off-site locations.
Upcoming Car Show Event
In addition to the physical expansion, Memory Cafe is preparing for its second annual car show.

Activities: Classic cars, hot dogs, root beer floats served by Concordia orientation students, music, and face painting.
