MNDOT needs input on Fergus Falls I-94 rest area

FERGUS FALLS, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation needs your input on planning for a Fergus Falls area rest area on Interstate 94.

MNDOT is looking into constructing a new rest area or a pair of rest areas that will be designated Class I, which is the largest rest area type with the most amenities.

The rest area will replace the ones at Hansel Lake, which was determined to not be cost effective to upgrade the building, and Lake Iverson, which was demolished in 2010 because of flooding. MNDOT says the ideal location would be between exit 5o for U.S. Highway 59 North and County Road and County Road 88 to Fergus Falls and Pelican Rapids and U.S. Highway 59 South and County Road 82 for Fergus Falls and Elbow Lake.
