MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Moorhead City Council unanimously passes a $142 million budget.
The budget increases the city’s tax levy five percent, or $3,125,000. A home valued at $235,600 will see a monthly increase in taxes of $8.74. The budget includes two new police officers and one public works position.
Wastewater, sanitation, stormwater and forestry costs are going up five percent. An average single family home will see an increase of $2.74 per month.
The budget passed without any discussion and no one from the public spoke in favor or against it.
