MLB All-Star Game, Draft Moved From Georgia

(New York, NY) -- The 2021 MLB All-Star Game and the Draft are leaving Georgia due to the state's new voting laws.

MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred made the announcement Friday after consulting teams, the Players Association, The Players Alliance, and former players.

Manfred says the league is against ballot box restrictions and supports voting rights for all Americans. He's promising the MLB will keep their investments in Atlanta as part of the All-Star Legacy Projects.

A new host city for the All-Star Game and Draft will be announced soon.
