CDC Issues New School Mask Guidelines

(Atlanta, GA) -- The CDC is putting out new guidance for mask wearing in schools.

The agency says students who are vaccinated don't have to wear masks in school this fall unless they are riding the school bus.

The CDC recommends unvaccinated students and staff wear masks at all times and continue distancing.

The agency added the guidelines aren't mandatory as schools and districts may set their own policies.
