Pfizer: Three vaccine doses protects against Omicron

(New York, NY) -- Pfizer says a third dose of its coronavirus vaccine provides good protection against the omicron variant.  

At the same time, the drug maker is developing an omicron-specific vaccine that it predicts will be ready by March. 

Pfizer reports Wednesday that a booster shot provides the same protection against omicron as the previous two doses did against earlier variants.
