(Washington, DC) -- The Biden administration says the U.S won't be threatened by Iran's sanctions of dozens of Americans over the weekend.
White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said in a statement Sunday that Tehran would face "severe consequences" if it attacks any Americans. Iran announced sanctions against 52 Americans, including Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Mark Milley over the 2020 drone strike killing of General Qassem Soleimani.
Late last week, Iranian President Ebrabhim Raisi vowed revenge against former President Donald Trump unless Trump is tried for the powerful Iranian general's death.
