(Dallas, TX) -- Southwest Airlines is admitting the Omicron variant will hurt business in the current quarter.

The Texas-based airline expects to lose money this quarter before making a profit beginning in March. Southwest is expecting revenue of up to 15-percent below what it earned in the first quarter of 2019.

However, incoming CEO Bob Jordan said "the worst appears to be behind us."
