UCLA to pay over 243-Million to settle sex assault lawsuit

(Los Angeles, CA) -- The University of California Los Angeles is paying over 243-million dollars to settle a sexual assault lawsuit.  

The settlement announced Tuesday covers former patients of a U-C-L-A gynecologist who allegedly assaulted over 200 women. That new settlement is in addition to a 73-million-dollar class action settlement that involved over five-thousand patients.

Heaps treated women at U-C-L-A for several decades and still maintains his innocence. He's facing 21 felony sex assault charges.
