(Washington, DC) -- The fence around the U.S. Capitol grounds is coming back.

Reports indicate security officials will reinstall fencing around the Capitol next week before President Biden delivers his State of the Union address on March 1st. Capitol Police say they're aware of protests like Canada's so-called Freedom Convoy coming to Washington.

Capitol Police said in a statement they're making plans to facilitate First Amendment protest activity while working with law enforcement agencies and the DC National Guard to prepare for Biden's address.

Major fencing, police patrols, and a military presence first went up around on Capitol Hill after the January 6th attack on the Capitol last year.
