(Los Angeles, CA) -- A new study is revealing that people are more trusting of information heard through their headphones.

In one test, individuals who used headphones tended to feel more empathy for a mother and daughter talking about homelessness than those who heard the same audio through a speaker. What this means is people who hear ads or public service announcements while they're listening to something through their headphones could be more easily influenced by the content.

For podcasters, the findings could be a breakthrough.
