(Ukraine) -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says, when his negotiators meet with Russian representatives Monday, they'll insist on a meeting between Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Ukraine has been calling for talks between the two presidents ever since Russian forces invaded Ukraine more than two weeks ago. Reuters reports Ukraine wants direct talks because Putin is making final decisions about the course of Russia's attacks on Ukraine.
Zelensky said on Sunday he's sure that a meeting between him and Putin is what "people are waiting for."
