(Washington, D.C.) -- Grubhub is accused of "deceptive trade practices" according to a District of Columbia court.

According to court documents, the food delivery company is accused of using unfair and deceptive practices regarding advertising and promotion of their services. Court documents claim Grubhub lists thousands of restaurants available for delivery, but have no relationship with their business.Their website and app would also list menu items at higher prices compared to the restaurants, without sharing that information with consumers.

The documents also claim the food delivery service hides additional fees at the end of transactions, right before a consumer needs to pay for the delivery service.
