(Washington, DC) -- The White House is encouraged by "strong progress" in finalizing a deal on new COVID funding in the Senate. Press Secretary Jen Psaki called the needs "very urgent" during her daily briefing. Senate Democrats and Republicans are finalizing details of a 10-billion dollar package for COVID services and treatments. That's about half of what the Biden administration was originally seeking.
