(San Francisco, CA) -- Twitter says it plans to complete its 44-billion dollar deal with Elon Musk despite the billionaire's hesitation.

The social media company made that claim Tuesday night in an SEC filing. The Twitter board also told Bloomberg it intends "to close the transaction and enforce the merger agreement." Musk put the brakes on negotiations Tuesday.

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO said the buyout can't go forward unless Twitter's CEO proves the platform has fewer than five-percent fake accounts.
