(Baton Rouge, LA) -- Louisiana is one step closer to possibly banning all abortions.
The state House passed a bill that would begin if the Supreme Court goes through with overturning Roe v. Wade within the next month. The measure wouldn't punish women who end their pregnancy but doubles the penalties for doctors, with up to ten years in jail.
Lawmakers rejected a proposed amendment to allow abortions in cases of rape or incest.
