(Atlanta, GA) -- COVID vaccinations are available Tuesday for millions of the youngest Americans.

Starting Tuesday, children ages six months to five years can be vaccinated with doses designed for that age group. With last week's CDC authorization, vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna are now available for young children.

While the coronavirus has been less dangerous for children than for older adults, it isn't harmless. More than 200 children in the U.S. have died from COVID-19 and 20-thousand American kids have been hospitalized with the disease.
