(Washington, DC) -- A group of senior lawmakers is reportedly joining House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on her trip to Taiwan.
Republican Congressman Michael McCaul told NBC he and his Democratic counterpart Gregory Meeks were invited by Pelosi as the top members of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
Texan lawmaker McCaul said he declined the invitation due to a personal obligation and didn't provide exact dates of the trip to the Democratically-ruled island that China wants under its control.
