(Washington, DC) -- The U.S. will send an additional 550-million dollars in weapons to Ukraine.
The latest round of aid was announced Monday. It brings the total of U.S.-funded weapons sent to Ukraine since Russia began its invasion to more than eight-billion dollars.
Included in the weapons shipment are 75-thousand rounds of artillery ammunition and additional High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems ammunition.
The Department of Defense said the U.S. will continue to work with its allies to help Ukraine meet its evolving battlefield requirements.
