(Grand Rapids, MI) -- Two men accused of plotting to kidnap and murder Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer will go on trial again this week.

Adam Fox and Barry Croft Jr. will be retried beginning Tuesday after their first trial ended in mistrials for them and acquittals for two other men charged in the alleged plot.

Fox and Croft and the others were accused of hatching the plot because they were angry with Whitmer for safety restrictions she ordered in 2020 as the COVID pandemic began to spread.
