Hurricane Ian death toll rises

Tallahassee, FL -  The death toll is rising as search and rescue efforts continue in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. Authorities say at least 73 people were killed in the storm in Florida and four more in North Carolina.

FEMA and the U.S. Coast Guard says about four-thousand people have been rescued in the Sunshine State since Ian made landfall as a devastating Category 4 hurricane on Wednesday.

Efforts to reach stranded residents in need of evacuation continues.
